Other sports action going on in the next few weeks:

ARCHERY - The world championships continue in Leipzig, Germany, untl the end of this weekend.

IN THE NEWS - The Pan Am Games continue until 29th July in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The 9th African Games is also taking place, in Algiers, Algeria.

BASKETBALL - The women's under-19 world championship begins on 26th July in Bratislava, Slovakia, continuing until 5th August.

EQUESTRIAN - A round of the eventing World Cup takes place in Kalispell, USA from 27th-29th July.

SWIMMING - The world women's junior water polo championships started on 17th July and run until 28th, in Porto, Portugal. There is also a marathon 10km race in Roberval, Canada on 25th July, with a further open water grand prix on 28th in the same location.

VOLLEYBALL - The women's junior (under-20 world championship) is being hosted by Nakhonratchasima in Thailand, until 27th July. The women's and men's beach volleyball worlds get underway from 24th-29th July, both in Gstaad, Switzerland.

CYCLING - The Tour de France continues until 29th July, while the BMX world championships are in Victoria, Canada, from 26th-29th July.

HANDBALL - the men's youth worlds are in Bahrain from 26th July to 3rd August.

- The flatwater junior worlds are being held in Racice, the Czech Republic, from 27th-29th July.

GYMNASTICS - Another round of the gymnastics world cup in Shanghai from 27th-29th July.

ROWING - From 26th-29th July in Strathclyde, Scotland, the world under-23 championships.
